Aryana Petrosky

Program Associate

Aryana has spent nearly a decade working to bridge divides in the United States, with a particular passion for making connections across complex networks of ideas, people, and institutions. At Fundamental, she supports client work focused on bridge-building and journalism.

Her previous work sat at the intersection of faith, democracy, and civic renewal. She helped create and launch The After Party: Toward Better Christian Politics, a nationwide, video-based small group course designed to reduce political polarization within Christian communities. The project included innovative cross-sector collaborations, such as partnerships with the SNF Agora Institute, Christianity Today, and production of an accompanying album with The Porter’s Gate titled, “Songs for The After Party.” Prior to that, Aryana worked for the American Enterprise Institute's (AEI) Initiative on Faith & Public Life, where she organized events for undergraduate students and faculty to discuss public policy, political philosophy, business, and culture across the ideological spectrum. While at AEI, she also served as an assistant producer for the documentary For Love of Neighbor: Politics for the Common Good

Aryana recently completed an MTh in Theology in History at the University of Edinburgh, where she studied a “theology of encounter,” a posture for bridging political, religious, or cultural differences. She is a 2025–2027 Cultura Fellow with the Martin Institute and was named a 2023 Civic Renewal Fellow at AEI. A writer and poet in her free time, her writing has appeared at Christianity Today, Plough, Comment, The Dispatch, the Scottish Poetry Library, and Vita Poetica
