OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE

Belen brings nearly a decade of mission-driven work and a deep commitment to equity, efficiency, and systems change to her role as Operations Associate at Fundamental. She supports the firm’s operational excellence through facilities management, IT coordination, financial reporting, and HR processes.

A first-generation college graduate and second-generation Mexican American, Belen has driven impact across education, economic justice, and workforce development, from facilitating university courses on inequality to providing comprehensive administrative support for national executive searches. Her trauma-informed approach and operational agility ensure seamless firm-wide workflows.

Belen holds a BA in Critical Gender Studies and Ethnic Studies from UC San Diego, where she helped lead a student campaign to establish the Raza Resource Centro, an experience that cemented her dedication to social transformation. Beyond her work at Fundamental, she collaborates with a national network of transgender women of color on mutual aid, spiritual practice, and artistic endeavors.
