GRANTS MANAGER

Gerlie is committed to shifting systems that create inequity, injustice, and division toward ecosystems of collective care, empathy, and reciprocity. She brings to her role deep expertise in grants and program management and fluency in the arts and creative sector, helping to expand Fundamental Philanthropy's grants management capacity.

Prior to Fundamental, she contributed to initiatives that advanced equity and cultural vitality across Los Angeles, California, and beyond, working with leading organizations including the James Irvine Foundation, the California Community Foundation, Panta Rhea Foundation, and the Music Center.

As an active civic volunteer, Gerlie currently serves on the board of Visual Communications, a Los Angeles-based media arts nonprofit dedicated to supporting Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander storytellers. She is also completing her final year as a commissioner with the City of Los Angeles North Valley Area Planning Commission.

She holds an MA in Arts Administration from Claremont Graduate University and a BS in International Business from the University of San Francisco.
