Isaiah Tomlin

Isaiah believes in the importance of preserving cultural memory and the artists and institutions that shape it. At Fundamental, he supports arts-focused initiatives through research, administrative coordination, and program infrastructure, helping to strengthen the systems that sustain creative practice.

His previous work at the Museum of Modern Art in the Department of Drawings and Prints included supporting curatorial initiatives through object research, metadata management, reproduction rights coordination, and donor communications. He has also partnered directly with artists and senior art leaders to manage archives, organize portfolios, and support the development of creative work.

Isaiah holds an MA in Museum Studies from New York University, an MS in Library and Information Science from Long Island University, and a BA in History from the College of New Jersey. He also studied history and philosophy at Kansai Gaidai University. Isaiah was the 2024-2025 Black Arts Council Fellow with the Museum of Modern Art.
